During Summer Game Fest 2025, Dotemu and Tribute Games officially revealed two new heroes for their upcoming beat ’em up, Marvel Cosmic Invasion: Rocket Raccoon and She-Hulk. This announcement marks the latest update in the game’s growing 15-character roster.

Rocket Raccoon Brings Explosives and Mid-Range Mayhem

Rocket Raccoon enters the battlefield as a fast, explosive-based fighter with a focus on mid-range combat. His attacks include rapid-fire blasters, area grenades, and agile evasive movement, making him ideal for players who like to deal high damage without getting too close. His mobility also plays well with the game’s “Cosmic Swap” mechanic, which lets players switch between two characters during combat to chain custom combos.

She-Hulk Emphasizes Strength and Grappling Attacks

She-Hulk offers a completely different playstyle centered on brute strength and close-quarters grappling. She can pick up and slam enemies, clear areas with powerful charge moves, and break through enemy lines with raw power. Her gameplay is inspired by her 1990s comic appearances, with a strong visual and animation style that reflects her bold, dynamic personality.

New Characters Expand a Roster Built for Variety and Co-Op Play

Rocket and She-Hulk join a roster that already includes Captain America, Spider-Man, Storm, Nova, Venom, Wolverine, and Phyla-Vell. Each character features distinct combat mechanics, encouraging strategic team compositions in both single-player and up to four-player online or local co-op.

The game’s drop-in/drop-out multiplayer system is paired with cross-platform support and multiple accessibility features, aiming to offer a smooth and inclusive experience for all types of players.

Story Set Across New York and the Negative Zone

The core narrative follows Marvel heroes defending Earth against Annihilus and his cosmic army as they invade through a breach between New York City and the Negative Zone. Players will fight through multiple iconic Marvel locations in both cosmic and street-level environments, rendered in retro comic book style.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is scheduled for release during the 2025 holiday season on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. No exact release date has been confirmed yet, but more announcements are expected in the coming months.
