Một Ngày Làm Chó: an online dog simulator in your browser

An endless Vietnamese street, a few locals strolling back and forth, and you: a dog picked by fate. Bark, pee, poop, bite, finish your daily jobs, keep yourself fed and watered, and don't let the dog thieves catch you. Meanwhile, other players' dogs are walking the very same street.

How to play

Your dog is drawn, not chosen

A slot machine assigns a breed: Mr Vàng, Bé Bông, Lu Vàng, a police German Shepherd, a pig, and, when the system glitches, Chuột.exe (a mouse).

A mystery in the neighbourhood

Each run brings a 10 to 15 minute comic case such as “Who pooped outside Huấn's door?”: voiced cutscenes hand you each task, you sniff for clues, question suspects and name the culprit, then share your certificate.

Bark duels and pack barks

Challenge another dog to a 1v1 bark duel where the faster you tap, the further your bark waves push, or rally a 4v4 pack bark on the beat.

Packs and territory

Form a pack with friends and pee on neighbouring lampposts to link them into territory: on your pack's ground you eat more, get hungry slower and run faster. Lose a post and the whole pack is alerted.

A dog soul that persists

Every run is a new dog, but your strength, agility, stamina, looks, achievements and weekly titles follow you from life to life.

Twelve dog actions

Bark, pee, poop, lick, wag, bite, beg, sniff, roll, howl, chase bikes, plus one censored 18+ action. The button that makes sense right now lights up, and buttons that advance a daily job carry a yellow dot.

Food, water, bladder, health

Four meters drain over time. When you are hungry an arrow points to the sausage cart or a bin; when you are thirsty it points to a water bowl. Fed and watered dogs heal; starve too long and it is over.

Dog thieves

A siren gives you a few seconds, then the thieves' motorbike charges in. Tap NÉ (dodge) in time and your dog curses at them; get caught mid-case and you mash taps to wriggle free with your progress kept; get caught with no case running and the run ends.

Shared neighbourhoods

Online players are grouped into neighbourhoods of up to 30 dogs, and an invite link drops friends into yours. Tap another dog to bite it, respawn three seconds after dying, and trade insults in text chat.

Save the moment

Dodge a thief, take down a rival or misbehave and the camera cuts to a cinematic angle, captures the moment, and lets you save or share it in one tap.

Frequently asked questions

Is Một Ngày Làm Chó free?
Yes. It is free to play in the browser, with no install and no account.
Can I play with other people?
Yes. Online players share neighbourhoods of up to 30 dogs where they can bite, bark-duel, form packs to hold lampposts and chat; an invite link brings friends into yours. If the server is unreachable, the game switches to solo play and keeps trying to reconnect.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. It is built for portrait touch screens: drag the joystick to move, tap the buttons to act, tap another dog to bite it. On a computer, use WASD, Space, the number keys and T to chat. The first load is about 7 MB before the title screen; the rest streams in the background, and the game lowers its quality on slower devices.
Is the game in English?
Not yet. The in-game interface, dialogue and voices are Vietnamese only.
Is it suitable for all ages?
No. It is a 21+ comedy game with censored swearing, a censored 18+ action and meme situations. Everything in it is a joke; it does not endorse online thuggery, dog theft or animal cruelty.
What is it built with?
Three.js (WebGL) for the 3D rendering, people and dog models prepared in Blender with automatic rigging, voices generated with ElevenLabs, and a Node.js WebSocket server for the shared street. The Golden Sea case study covers the details.
