Browser Game
A 3D bluffing game in a Wild West saloon: Liar's Dice with Chinese rules, four AI opponents and one shared revolver. Playable in the browser.
Play in your browserThe brief
From a real problem to a working product.
Dice Liar is Golden Sea's own browser game: four strangers at a saloon table, a cup of dice each, and one revolver that every loser has to pull. It runs straight from a link — no install, no store — and was built as a test of how far a small team can push a 3D game with an AI-assisted production pipeline.
The characters were generated in Meshy as auto-rigged 3D models, then every movement was written in code. There are no canned animations: sitting, breathing, smoking, flinching at a gunshot and reaching for the revolver are all procedural poses solved each frame with two-bone IK. Because auto-rigs are imprecise, anchors such as the mouth and temple are measured from the skinned mesh itself, so a cigarette sits on the lip and the gun lines up with the head on four very different face shapes.
The rules are real. Liar's Dice follows the Chinese variant, where ones are wild unless someone bids No-Tai, and each AI opponent has its own caution and bluffing profile. Each character has its own ElevenLabs voice in English and Vietnamese, and the sound effects — dice, cards, table slams, the cylinder spin — were generated the same way.
The rendering targets a moody saloon look while aiming for 60 fps in an ordinary browser: tuned lighting, bloom and sharpening post-processing, adaptive resolution, and compressed textures that cut the download from about 110 MB to 16 MB. Code review ran as a loop between Claude and Codex until each build was accepted, and the trailer was rendered from the game's own deterministic capture mode in Remotion.
