Car Rental Management Platform

Managing a large car rental fleet manually is an operational nightmare: pricing decisions made by gut feel, vehicles unaccounted for, invoices generated in spreadsheets, and no systematic way to verify customer identity before handing over keys.

Golden Sea built a full-stack management platform covering every operational touchpoint. The fleet management module tracks each of the 700 vehicles in real time via IoT GPS devices — current location, rental status, maintenance schedule, and trip history all visible from a central dashboard. Dispatchers assign vehicles to trips with routing suggestions based on real-time availability.

The AI/ML pricing engine adjusts vehicle rates dynamically based on three inputs: current demand for that vehicle class, the pickup location (city center vs. airport vs. suburban), and vehicle type/age. Peak periods and high-demand locations automatically surface higher pricing recommendations — similar to surge pricing for rideshare, adapted for daily/weekly rentals. The company recovered significant revenue that was previously left on the table with flat-rate pricing.

Customer onboarding integrates KYC verification: drivers upload their license and national ID through the React Native app, the system verifies authenticity and checks against fraud flags, and only approved customers complete a booking. A fraud detection algorithm flags suspicious patterns — multiple bookings from new accounts, mismatched billing and pickup locations, and unusual payment behavior — for manual review before vehicle release.
