Tooling Big Data Analytics

Industrial tooling — the molds, dies, and jigs used in manufacturing — represents enormous capital investment. When a mold fails unexpectedly, the production line stops. When defect patterns emerge in output parts, tracing the cause back to a specific tooling condition requires data that most factories simply don't collect.

Golden Sea built a tooling digitalization platform that changes this. Each tool in the factory is registered in the system with a digital identity: specification data, maintenance history, usage cycles, and current condition status. IoT sensors attached to critical tooling feed real-time condition data — temperature, pressure cycles, wear indicators — into the platform.

The AI module analyzes defect patterns in output parts and correlates them with tooling condition data. When a mold starts producing parts with an elevated rate of Black Dot or Burn Mark defects, the system identifies the correlation and flags the specific tool for inspection — before the defect rate reaches rejection threshold. Predictive maintenance scheduling replaces reactive breakdown-based intervention.

The mobile app (React Native) gives production supervisors and tooling engineers real-time visibility from anywhere. A mold engineer on the factory floor can pull up the complete history and current condition of any of the 180,000+ toolings using their phone — far faster than paper-based records or desktop-only systems.
