Sushi 2048
Discipline
Mobile Game
2048-style puzzle game with sushi characters and a satisfying tile-merge mechanic.

The brief
From a real problem to a working product.
Sushi 2048 takes the timeless 2048 puzzle mechanic and repackages it with a character-driven visual identity. Each sushi type — tamago, ebi, maguro, uni — represents a tier of tile, with each merge producing a satisfying animation and sound effect.
The game was designed for short-session play: commutes, waiting rooms, idle moments. We kept the install size under 50MB by optimizing every asset and using procedural animations wherever possible.
Monetization is AdMob-powered: banner ads on the main menu and interstitials between runs. A 'continue' mechanic (rewarded ad = 3 extra moves) drives ad engagement naturally without frustrating players. Post-launch data showed strong session frequency — players returning 3–4 times daily.
