Casual merge game built around Japanese sushi — clean art, addictive loop.

The brief
From a real problem to a working product.
Sushi Merge was built to hit the casual gaming sweet spot: instantly understandable, satisfying to play, and hard to put down. The sushi theme gave us a rich visual palette — nigiri, maki, ramen, tempura — each tier of merge feeling like a mini reward.
Our design team focused obsessively on the first-time user experience (FTUE). The first five minutes of play needed zero explanation — just intuitive drag-and-merge with instant positive feedback. Player testing showed we could get D1 retention above 45% with the right onboarding flow.
Ad integration uses IronSource mediation. Rewarded ads are gated behind natural resource requests (extra moves, continue after fail), keeping the experience feeling fair while maximizing eCPM. The game performed well in Japan and Korea — markets we specifically targeted with localized UI text and culturally tuned art.
