Marine Inventory Management

Marine operations depend on having the right parts and equipment available when needed — a missing component on a vessel can mean days of downtime at sea or in port. Tracking inventory across categories, locations, and transactions without a proper system leads to over-stocking on some items and stockouts on others.

Golden Sea built a web-based inventory management platform specifically configured for the client's marine supply chain context. The system tracks 347+ items across 23 categories, with real-time stock levels, location assignment, minimum quantity alerts, and reorder triggers.

Purchase order management is integrated: when stock drops below minimum, the system generates a draft PO that managers can review and approve. The approval workflow is configurable by item category and order value — routine consumables auto-approve; capital equipment requires senior sign-off.

User analytics give operations managers visibility into how the system is being used: which inventory forms are accessed most frequently, session frequency by team member, and download activity by report type. This data surfaces training needs and workflow bottlenecks that wouldn't be visible without instrumentation.

The dashboard is fully mobile-responsive — field teams on the dock or on board can check stock levels and submit requests from a tablet or smartphone without needing to return to a shore office.
