The brief

From a real problem to a working product.

Mushroom Smackdown is a party brawler designed for quick sessions — games last 2–3 minutes, perfect for mobile. Each mushroom character has a distinct ability set, creating rock-paper-scissors dynamics that keep matches from feeling repetitive.

The art style is deliberately loud and cartoony — big hit effects, bouncy animations, vibrant environments. Our artists developed the full visual identity from scratch: character design, environment art, UI/UX, and VFX.

Networking runs on Mirror for Unity with a dedicated server infrastructure. We optimized heavily for Southeast Asian network conditions — variable latency, mobile data, and older devices. The result is smooth gameplay even on 4G with 100ms+ ping.
